Welcome

To our family blog! We love having a spot to record the Grand and not so Grand events in our lives! Thanks for keeping track of us and for tagging along! And don't forget to check out my photography blog!

SUNDAY

Daylight savings. I am kind of looking forward to the longer days. I do miss my precious hour though. We actually made it on time to church. Emma puked during Sacrament meeting. We hit a new low. She's alright. Sore throat makes her gag and puke. It was nice outside. I had the not so wonderful idea to take the bikes out. We only have two. There was one kid crying at all times. Good weather puts me in a great mood. It was a good day. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

TODAY

This weather puts me in such a good mood! So far we have had a great day! Ryan took us out for lunch and afterwards the kids just wanted to play outside. Just watch this!

EMMA

Just some pictures of Emma wearing her winter hat around the house. I guess she will not get a chance to make a snowman this year and she was looking forward to it! I even got everybody winter gear because I thought it would be fun for them! I, on the other hand, am not disappointed, not one bit! I am looking forward to warmer days! She got out all her hats that day and wore this one for about three hours! I think Team Umizoomi was on T.V. She could not keep her eyes off of the screen! I think they are somewhat annoying to tell the truth but Emma loves them and really has learned a lot about counting and patterns. She was wearing a random outfit last week and I said that she should change because it did not match, she said to me that it was a pattern. She then pointed out how her shirt had butterflies, her dress had butterflies and the skirt she wore underneath also had butterflies, she said "It's an awesome pattern, don't you see? because I love butterflies!" I just love my Emms! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

BENJAMIN

It has been a while since I have taken pictures during or after bath time. No success during the bath. The first one to come out was Ben. He was so funny and cute! He is my crazy energetic boy. At first he was NOT into it at all, he wanted to go back to the tub with his brother and sister. But my camera soon convinced him it would be a fun game. He loves hiding from the camera or moving really fast and when I snap he laughs and stops as if I caught him. NOT into it. I told you. Photobucket Photobucket Well, let's do this mom! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket He started moving back and forth really fast and laughing really hard. Loving the game! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket You can't find me! Photobucket And while I'm at it I better write some of the things he has been up to lately... Ben eats nuts, avocados, zucchini, carrots (lots of carrots, especially when Dad cooks them), loves Greek yogurt (as in "can never get enough") loves cheese and apples. He pretty much loves healthy stuff, sweets are alright. Loves mom's pancakes with whipped cream, not that they're all that healthy. He pretty much moved my kitchen to the rest of the house but mainly to the living room. Whenever I need a pan all I have to do is look on the ledge of my chimney; for utensils I have to go downstairs. He loves "cooking". He is the one that almost always makes the other ones cry and laugh. He's a pincher, at least he stopped biting. He always has a smile on his face and it really is cute! I love that mischievous smile! Everything is a game. Frustrating, funny and cute, but mostly frustrating. He's quick to say sorry and give hugs and kisses. I love those hugs and kisses! He's a professional "timer outer". He knows it's better to sit and be quiet for a minute than whine and be there longer. He loves Backyardigans and can actually sit down for at least a full episode, sometimes two! It's awesome. He is such a smart boy! He is very coordinated. He can dance and run and jump! I think he will be good at sports, we'll see I guess. And this is just a little of Benjamin's awesomeness...

ENJOYING THE WEATHER

I think I have been praying a lot for good weather and I may have done something good lately because it has been wonderful! This week the kids and I went over to Grandma's backyard and even though it wasn't quite warm, we played and laughed and the kids had a great time while I dreamed of Spring and all the photo opportunities it would bring! DANCING TWINS

We went to Louisville this past weekend and on the way there we had such energetic boys! Pandora happened to play Emma's favorite song, Alejandro, yes, my kids dance to Lady Gaga. They danced and danced for a while but the scene soon changed to this: Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

STAND STILL

Today I thought about how much I would miss these days if they were suddenly gone... I thought about all the things I want them to know before they are all grown up... I thought about all the games I want to play and the laughs I want to share with them before they turn into teenagers and no longer think I'm fun... I listened to a song by Hilary Weeks last week, "Stand Still" and it completely expresses the way I am feeling right now... it's about our little ones growing and the days passing so fast and never stopping and the desire to hold on... Time stand still...
