Welcome

To our family blog! We love having a spot to record the Grand and not so Grand events in our lives! Thanks for keeping track of us and for tagging along! And don't forget to check out my photography blog!

Monday Morning

Just wondering why my cleaning elves didn't show last night... I slept for eight and a half hours! They should have had plenty of time!
Ben is STILL sleeping. He's had a hard time napping for the last couple of days. He went to bed last night at around 11:00 pm. He has slept for 12 hours now. Alex and Emma are already having breakfast and watching TV. I'm trying to decide where to start. It's chaos. You wouldn't think we spent Saturday cleaning our basement were not for the rearranging of furniture. Toys everywhere! I really should go through them and get rid of some! This place looks like a nursery!
I am feeling good. I have to report that all week I made "better choices". I'm not saying I didn't eat anything sweet or that I was perfect. I did eat more fruit and vegetables. I drank more water. I didn't just reach for the fridge because of "stress". I thought about what I was putting in my mouth and how much of it. I'm pretty happy with my efforts. I even lost two pounds! This week I'm looking to add some exercise to my day {other than lifting 45 pounds of baby a hundred times a day!}.
I have quite a few plans for our week and hopefully we'll be able to follow through with them. Except, Ryan might be the party pooper. He has had a silly pain in his left leg for a couple of months now, and sometimes it's so bad he can't really walk. He's at the doctor's office right now. Hopefully it will be better now and we'll be able to do more fun stuff this week. Our basement is nice and cool though, outside, not so much. Hot and muggy. I do enjoy hot and muggy though. It reminds me of home. Which brings me to my next thought. I miss being Mexican.

This is a picture of Emma I took a while ago but I was just looking at it and I just love her concerned little face. She was looking for the ducks in our sad pool, and she kept saying "a gone mommy, ducks a gone"

I thought that line about the cleaning elves was so funny! I also give them plenty of time to come while I'm sleeping... maybe they keep losing my address.

I hope Ryan feels better, and good job making good food choices!
