Welcome

To our family blog! We love having a spot to record the Grand and not so Grand events in our lives! Thanks for keeping track of us and for tagging along! And don't forget to check out my photography blog!

I, MOMMY. YOU, EMMA.

My baby girl is growing. She no longer has the body of a baby. She now wants to be mommy. Our conversation from a couple of days ago:
She said: "mommy, I (pointing at herself) Mommy, You (pointing at me) Emma. You hungry?"
I said: "oh mommy, yes, quiero comer"
She said: "okay, I make candy for you"
I said: "really? (insert excited tone) candy for me? Delicioso!
She said: "yes! candy for Emma!"

She now wants to play this game e-v-e-r-y d-a-y!
So, I ask her to carry me, to sing to me, to feed me, to watch the boys, to mop, to sweep, etc. and she says, okay Emma.

This was the very first time Emma wore jeans! She looked so big and grown up to me! It's exciting to have more real conversations with her but I'm already missing my little baby.

What a cute game! (The first time, right? ha!)

It is bittersweet to see them grow up.

Aww, such a cutie! She's going to make a great little mommy some day... and I'm sure that thought calms your nerves about her growing up, huh? lol

That is very clever of her to think of that game! Smart Emma and lucky you - getting to play while Emma does all the mom chores!
I do miss a baby in the house, but I LOVE the older stages. I LOVE when they start conversing.
