MAGIC MONDAY

I know it's Tuesday. Mondays are usually the day I do a mental evaluation of the past week and think about the things I will try and do better this week, kind of like " I will start my diet this Monday" type of evaluation. Well, since I'm focusing on being happier I thought I would do a little "happiest moments" post from last week.

{1} Emma and I had three wonderful nights of cake and milk sharing time! {until she got sick yesterday, not from the cake, just a fever} She throws a little tantrum when I say it's time for bed, so, one night, I suggested we shared some cake and milk and then she needed to go to bed, she happily obliged. We had a good conversation, I asked about her day, if she had had fun and if she liked eating out and she was so serious answering all my questions. Well, next night came, and right after she started crying she said, we can eat cake and milk. I said, well, of course we can! And so we did, we shared a heart cake and i asked her about nursery and if she liked her friends, and she said she did, and she said William was small.

{2} I love hearing this little punk calling for "momma" when he's in need. I love the sound of it and it just makes me feel so proud and so happy to see him grow and learn. On the not so sweet side, he cries a lot, especially for Daddy and Grandma. He gets held though, so, he's definitely a good communicator.

{3} Sunday afternoon Ben and I shared a sweet moment of tickles and laughter. oh how sweet he is! He laughs and I can't help but laughing with him! He's my little independent boy! He seems to enjoy doing things by himself, especially feeding himself, can you tell by his shirt?! I shot this one this morning after pancakes.

{4} Soup. Yes, soup has made me happy these last few days. I grew up disliking soup. I never cared for soups, only Caldo de Queso and Albondigas. Everything else, was just plain boring. I think Ryan is right, maybe a weather of 120 F is not the best for soups. And since I have been freezing lately, soups are my thing. We have made potato soup, white chili, broccoli soup and tortilla soup so far. Ryan even said I had a knack for soups!
{5} My boys' after nap fun! They just love to jump in their cribs and finally yesterday I picked up my camera and recorded it!

Notice how at minute 1:30 Ben growls for the camera to look at him and then starts jumping!
{6} Ryan. We have been together in our efforts to take care of our children and each other from the beginning. We have had some rough days and nights, it's such a comfort to know I have him and that we can do it together. Emma is sick and had a fever yesterday. I had her sleep with us last night in case she got a fever. She kicked Ryan out of bed. He took one for the team! Way to go baby!
{7} Goals. Goals make me happy and staying focused makes me even happier. And especially to know that the Lord is aware of me and the things that are important to me. I taught Relief Society this Sunday and it always is a reaffirming lesson, every General Conference talk I get to teach from is just what I need at the moment, exactly what will help me grow and learn. This Sunday it was "Reflections on a Consecrated Life" by Elder D. Todd Christofferson. If you get a chance, do read it!

I have a feeling that Magic Mondays will be my favorite post every week!
